How an Actor gets registered and verified on the platform authenticated, authorized, and audited?
There are several types of Actors within SafeCDx:
- Users A User represents a registered human being who has access to our platform and whose identity is bound to a credential.
- Patients A Patient is a User whose identity has been verified with a government issued ID using Know Your Customer (KYC) or attested to by a certified Employer or Organization; is a member of a Workspace; and has given us Consent to store their health record data.
- Organization Representatives An Organization Representative is a User who has been bound with a role using an IAM Binding to an Organization entity.
- Providers A provider is a User whose identity is anchored through their National Provider Identifier (NPI) (or equivalent for providers outside of the US), stored in the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) and is validated through a state licensure using a Connector binding to The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) https://www.caqh.org/.
- Partners A partner is a User who has accepted our Partner Terms and Conditions and whose identity is verified through the exchange of a public key signature.
- Service Accounts A Service Account is a special access actor bound to one of two types: an Application, which is governed by a Partnership Agreement between a Partner and Safe Health; or a Service, which is governed by our Platform Service Agreement.
