SafeCDx treats every request – be it a command to change data in the platform or a query for information from the platform – as an event. The events are called Spec Events. The Spec Event is an information payload that includes the request data payload along with multiple meta-data attributes regarding the request. These events are dropped on an Event plane which consumers can listen, pick up, and process.
The Event Plane in SafeCDx is implemented through a connective technology called NATS that enables applications to securely communicate across any combination of cloud vendors, on-premise systems, edge, web/mobile, and Internet of Things and other devices. NATS allows multiple consumers to connect and read events and process them for their purpose. SafeCDx platform will deploy NATS on the cloud and manage it as a central system that all services connect to build a distributed application platform.
