Connector
The Data Connector allows for systems to interoperate by converting one format to another format and by communicating over a well-known interface.
A System may or may not have a Connector.
Examples:
- The Audit System will have an
Audit System StorageConnector, so that every company can decide how to persist Audit Records. - Email Connector.
- EHR Connector.
- Health Reporting Connector. (Currently we only report to the CDC).
- Various Shipping Connectors.
Connectors are always Strongly Typed.
One can implement a Connector Service that implements a Connector. This way a Tenant can change the way parts of the platform work.
Connectors can be outbound (most of the times), or inbound. I.e.: One can create an “Audit Connector” that writes the Audit Log to a different store than the default one, or, one can create a Connector that can receive Test Kit results from a Test Lab.
